9/18/13 FLORIDA A&M FB PLAYER KILLED BY COP IN STRANGE SEQUENCE OF EVENTS, (this is so infuriating! An innocent person had a car accident late at night,apparently alone, & went for help..at the 1st house he finds he knocks on the door but the homeowner thinks he's an intruder so she calls the police...who,upon arrival, shoot the young man to death despite no weapons whatsoever. Reminds me of the time my car was broken into outside dodger stadium & I tried to wave down a "meter maid" in her car as she drove by but she looked at me as if I was a potential danger & drove past me staring at me with wide eyes, despite being a decently-dressed anglo male in need of assistance having just left the dodger baseball game ; needless to say my experience pales in comparison to Jonathan's & my thoughts & prayers go out to his family) search:randall kerrick,jonathan ferrell ,*read more at

"Jonathan A. Ferrell, a former
Florida A&M University football player who was killed early
Saturday by a North Carolina police officer, died of
"multiple gunshot wounds" to his chest, initial autopsy
reports show, according to CBS affiliate WBTV.
Randall Kerrick is charged with shooting and killing the 24-
year-old Ferrell, who was unarmed and had apparently
been in an automobile wreck.
Ferrell had sought help at a nearby house, according to a
statement from Charlotte-Mecklenburg police. A woman
answered the door and, when she didn't recognize the
man, called 911.
